Sears Targeted 404 Error pages
I was the Lead UX Designer as part of a swat team that came up with idea for Targeted 404 error pages. We pulled numbers for how many 404 pages were generated on Sears.com and came up with a solution that took into account where the user was coming from when the error occurred and then served up targeted content and promotions to the customer. The project was highly supported by senior leadership and was awarded a US Patent for the idea.
